The 2nd Annual Rhythm on the Rock Music Festival (ROTR) is being held September 8th and 9th at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds in Courtenay, B.C. Rhythm on the Rock is the passion project of producer, Jessie Lightburn. the festival exists as a way to showcase & highlight up and coming local musical talent while promoting the best of the west coast and bringing a community together for a weekend of passion, education and inspiration. The festival has grown leaps & bounds from the first idea to the 2nd Annual Festival and we are excited to have the opportunity to do it all again!

In addition to supporting up-and-coming talent, ROTR will have a craft and artisans market, healing arts area, kids zone, great food and fun throughout the day by local organizations and businesses . The Comox Valley is so diverse that our team wants to engage attendees with as much art, culture, music and sport the town can handle.

ROTR also partners to raise funds for 3 local non-profit organizations, including Kid Sport, The Comox Valley Child Development Association and Sew Sisters Society Artists Guild. This opportunity to share support within the community is integral to the pay-it-forward philosophy of ROTR and its members.

In 2011—our first year—Rhythm on the Rock and its sponsors and attendees raised $350+ for the Comox Valley Boys & Girls Club! ROTR also provided tents and booth space to more than 10 local Non- Profit organizations and gave out complimentary festival passes to low-income youth.
